Barbara has been a councillor for over 10 years, having represented our community at Surrey County Council and Reigate and Banstead Borough Council. During this time she has brought a new post office to Whitebushes, successfully worked to stop anti-social behaviour, helped get a community worker for Earlswood, Whitebushes, Woodhatch and South Park as well as lobbied to get improvements made at key junctions.
A letter from Barbara
Dear neighbour
For all of us, COVID has made this past year a challenge. Thank you to everyone who has stepped up to help in what has been an unprecedented time and I offer my sincere condolences to people and families who have lost their loved ones to this terrible pandemic. It's wonderful to see light at the end of the tunnel with the roll out of our vaccination process.
I have been able to work remotely with the council and will continue to share as much information, via social media. I hope you find this useful as it's one of the best ways to find out what I am working on.
I am asking you to vote for me as I live locally and as your County Councillor for the past 8 years, I am the only Candidate who understands all the issues, large and small, that affect local residents. Living in Whitebushes, I understand the problems experienced by residents and will continue to make your voices heard at County and continue to put your concerns to the fore, as I have done over the past 8 years.
Barbara Thomson
Candidate for Earlswood and Reigate South in the County elections
Barbara's election commitments to you
- To improve road junctions, giving better and safe access for our community.
- To improve local road networks so we have more choices of how we get around.
- To keep us safe from anti-social behaviour by working with the police and other partners.
