Rachel is committed to continuing her work to support our thriving villages:
“In 2017 I started the Tadworth Business Network to increase the footfall in our four shopping areas. “Over many years I have worked with Council officers to protect our heritage, and as from February 2018 Tadworth has it first Conservation Area covering parts of Station Approach, Cross Road, The Avenue and the bridge over the railway.
“To show pride in our villages, three years ago I started the twice a year clean ups of Walton and Tadworth, which has now become a community event, and I have also arranged two clean ups of Walton Pond – we hope to get swans back! “I make sure I am available to you, the residents, and attend the monthly meetings of the active Tadworth & Walton Residents Association, and the three meetings a year of the Walton Forum.
“I am a Trustee of Tattenhams library which we saved from being closed; and Vice Chair of the Jubilee Woodland which is very popular with the children and residents, thanks to the volunteers who give many hours a year keeping the site attractive. “Having lived in Tadworth for many years, I know and understand the issues confronting residents living in here. “As an experienced Councillor, I know how to resolve problems, and take action that achieves results.”
