Cllr Richard Coad (Redhill East)

Richard is an engineering Project Manager with a 17-year career working on the development of major energy projects. His professional experience includes commercial and contracts management and he has postgraduate qualifications in applied mathematics.

Richard has been a resident of Redhill for nearly 10 years and lives with his partner Daniela on Watercolour. His children go to school in Earlswood.

In his spare time he is an enthusiastic sportsman and regularly runs 10km and half marathon races to raise money for good causes. In 2017 he successfully completed the Thames Pathway Challenge, an ultra-challenge, by trekking 100km in only 24 hours raising money for the NSPCC.

Richard was a Local Education Authority Governor from 2011-17 at a local primary school. He has actively campaigned on local issues, including new schools to meet the ever rising demand for school places, and in 2016 he became the first Chairman of the new Redhill Business Guild, bringing businesses and community groups together. Since then the Guild has grown from strength to strength alongside the exciting Redhill town centre regeneration programme.
